Tim and Sara // Tamborine Mountain Garden Wedding
A garden ceremony
& kinfolk feasting under the stars
It’s hard not to be biased when dear friends are getting married, but Tim and Sara’s day is definitely one of our all time favourites.
After knowing Tim for many years and also having the privilege of photographing him propose to Sara, (you can check that out here) to then 3 months later photographing their big day, we definitely got swept up in all the goodness and emotion of these two tying the knot. It’s a different experience when you’re both personally and professionally invested, you can relax a little more around friends but you almost feel extra pressure to do their story justice because you know so much more of the journey they’ve travelled to get here.
Tim and Sara are the kind of people that put others first, they are truly selfless, always eager to practice hospitality and lend a hand. They really value family and to be called a friend of theirs is priceless.
It really is so special to be asked by friends to document such an important milestone and we were fortunate to be working alongside another good friend, Cam of Cameron John Visuals (and Ephemeral Creative) on video. Sara had her good friend Emily of Ruby Lane Flower Co creating all of the bouquets and floral goodness and tables and chairs were hired through The One Day House
The venue was a stunning private property on Tamborine Mountain and really was the perfect setting for what Tim and Sara envisaged for their day, a huge family feast under the stars, sharing glorious Italian food - thank you The Italian Job Catering and drinking wine, or cider for Tim.
We honestly feel that the day could not have been more “Tim and Sara”, it was very “them” from the most beautiful heartfelt vows, relaxed outdoor setting, sharing a meal with loved ones and evening shenanigans ending in a spontaneous game of tiggy.
Tim and Sara, it is such an honour to be your friends and it was truly a pleasure to photograph your day.
